  • AnTHEM Choir

    TRADITIONAL CHOIR

    The Anthem Choir provides leadership in our 8:45 AM worship service by singing an anthem every Sunday from September until Trinity Sunday. The music Anthem Choir presents vary from the Renaissance period to the 20th Century Classical music with composers ranging from Thomas Tallis, Herbert Howells to Morten Laudrisen. The Anthem Choir also presents exciting anthems that enrich our worship services for liturgical Sundays – such as singing of Fauré’s Requiem on All Saints’ Sunday. We are all volunteers with varied levels of experience, and we welcome anyone who might be interested in singing with us.


    Rehearsals (September - May): Thursdays, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

  • New Day Singers

    CONTEMPORARY CHOIR

    The New Day Singers are Emanuel’s contemporary music group. They are responsible for leading musical worship at the 10:30 AM service and strive to perform the most recent in Contemporary Christian Music as well as jazz, gospel, ethnic, and folk. The group offers opportunities to sing, play various percussion and woodwind instruments as well as guitar, keyboard

    and bass.


    Rehearsals (September - May): Tuesdays, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. 

  • FRIENDS OF MUSIC (FME)

    Chamber Music Concert Series

    UCONN Chamber Singers

    Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 7 PM


    The UConn Chamber Singers, known for their expressive and high-energy performances and comprised of the most advanced vocal students, perform under the direction of Dr. Jamie Spillane. They sing

    a cappella music from Renaissance classics to modern vocal jazz, with particular focus on music of living composers, as well as folk and world music. In the spring of 2018, the choir toured Austria and Italy.


    Please join us for a Pre-Concert at 6:20 PM, featuring talented flutist, Grace Helmke from South Windsor. For the last three years, she has played in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and spent summers performing in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Wind Ensemble. She will perform a short program of works by Bach, Griffes and Gaudet, accompanied by Matthew Burry.
