  • AnTHEM Choir


    The Anthem Choir sings an choral anthem every Sunday at 10 AM either as the prelude or postlude of the worship service. The music Anthem Choir presents vary from the Renaissance period to the 20th Century Classical music with composers ranging from Thomas Tallis, Herbert Howells to Morten Laudrisen. The Anthem Choir also presents exciting anthems that enrich our worship services for liturgical Sundays. Members of the Anthem Choir are volunteers with varied levels of experience, and they welcome anyone who might be interested in singing with them. 

    Rehearsals (September - May): 

    Thursdays, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

  • New Day Singers


    The New Day Singers are Emanuel’s contemporary music group. They lead musical worship at the 10 AM service and provide the prelude or postlude of the worship service. They strive to perform the most recent in Contemporary Christian Music as well as jazz, gospel, ethnic, and folk. The group offers opportunities to sing, play various percussion and woodwind instruments as well as guitar, keyboard

    and bass. 

    Rehearsals (September - May): 

    Thursdays, 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM. 


    Chamber Music Concert Series

    Friends of Music at Emanuel (FME) has assembled another season of great music.

    Project Choir ONE

    Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 7 PM

    FME welcomes the return of Project Choir ONE, under the direction of its founder, Dr. Jun Lee, for a program of a cappella Christmas music that spans the centuries, featuring seasonal music from multiple European countries in a variety of styles and languages. The choir is drawn from music students and graduates of the University of Connecticut. Those who have heard the choir previously will know that this concert is not to be missed.

    Admission has always been free. Donations are appreciated and are used to fund future concerts.
